Our Client has a vacancy for a Resource Geologist. The ideal candidate should have a post graduate degree in Mining Geology or related discipline. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of ore geology, mineral resource estimation and the preliminary economic appraisal of mining projects.

Skills to include:
• Experience in the collection and interpretation of exploration data, geological modeling, statistics and geostatistics,
• Excellent English communication skill , technical report writing and project management skills, together with a high level of numeracy, are essential,
• Knowledge of International Mineral Resource and Reserve Reporting Codes (would be an advantage)
• High degree of computer literacy and competence in mining/geological software packages such as Datamine, Surpac, Gemcom, Micromine, or Vulcan.
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of global projects and commodities, including feasibility studies and due diligence mandates. Frequent overseas travel forms a large part of the role and knowledge of foreign languages would therefore be an advantage.
